Extended Day Staff

JOB SUMMARY

Extended Day Staff lead and work with groups of 15-20 children in grades JK-6. Staff ensure the safety of the children as they take them through a schedule of activities that includes: computers, homework, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, and more.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Oversee planned activities for a group of students ensuring the safety of all children in the program.
• Will serve a scheduled snack to students.
• Ability to work with staff, students and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the School’s discretion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in an after school setting or working with school age children preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and will serve as a role model to program participants.

OTHER INFORMATION

• A criminal history and background check is required and must be successfully completed.
• Ability to work during the summer camps is preferred.
• Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment.
• Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Be able to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
